Finding God is a process. Reading and listening to stories of how God has touched the lives of people is one important way to start the process. It is for this reason that I author this Website and wrote the book Finding God in Silicon Valley.
Another wonderful way to hear inspiring stories of faith is at the Silicon Valley Prayer Breakfast. The event offers an opportunity to see how God has worked in the lives of the speakers and how He affects the way they live. The event is perfect for anyone who is curious about faith and wants to find out more. No one is put on the spot to pray. Instead, the event is simply an opportunity to observe how God transforms lives.
The 2016 Silicon Valley Prayer Breakfast is scheduled for Friday, April 1 at the Hyatt in Santa Clara. It features Henry Kaestner, co-founder and chairman of Bandwidth.com and a managing principal at Sovereign’s Capital. The values of Bandwidth.com are Faith, Family, Work, and Fitness (in that order). Bandwidth.com was the fourth fastest growing privately held company in the country from 2003 through 2007, a position it achieved without acquisition or institutional funding. Sovereign’s Capital is an investment fund for Christian-led companies in the US, Singapore, and Indonesia.
The title of Henry’s talk is “Finding Your Why.”
Also speaking is Connie Segreto, a 15-year executive at Deloitte Services, LLP, and founder of Science, Arts & Math camp for disadvantaged children in grades 1-12. In its eight years of operation, the camp has served more than 2,000 children. Connie will speak on how God helped her overcome adversity in her personal life.
The event also features an update by Kirk Perry, president of Brand Services at Google. As the keynote speaker at the 2015 Silicon Valley Prayer Breakfast, Kirk shared that he had just been diagnosed with cancer. Kirk will talk about all that transpired since his diagnosis.
The Silicon Valley Prayer Breakfast typically sells out. If you are interested in attending, you are urged to order your tables or seats early to make sure won’t miss the event.
